Trademarks

Proceedings of the trademark application are held according to the Law No. 555/1997 Coll. as amended by legal prescriptions 457/2001 and Decree No. 117/1997.

Following documents are required for the trademark filings:

• the name of the trademark, in case of word designation in standard font

• the drawing of the trademark, in case of nonstandard word designation

• the drawing of a figurative or combined trademark

• specification of the form of application – i.e., in black and white or colour

• the data concerning the applicant

• protected goods and services

• the power of attorney

• continued monitoring of legal status and renewals

• preparation and filing of replies challenging a preliminary refusal of the protection of an Internationally registered trademark
